- Updated: August 24, 2018

Real Madrid acquired some brilliant Brazilian youngsters before the commencement of the season, and many will love to see 1 or 2 of them stake a claim for a regular place in Madrid’s lineup.
One of them is Vinicius Junior who was acquired from Flamengo. The Brazilian youngster had initially expressed the belief that he was ready for first team action some few weeks back.
However, this might not be the case, as a report from La Sexta Jugones suggests that the young Brazilian striker will be spending the majority of the 2018/19 season with Real Madrid Castilla.

Vinicius Junior completed pre-season with Los Blancos this summer, and reports were rife that he would feature for the first team. He was even assigned the number 16 shirt for the season.
However, Lopetegui thinks the player is not ready to contribute this season.
The player didn’t play any part in the pre-match warm-up against Atletico Madrid. He also didn’t feature in the season opener against Getafe at the Bernabeu.
This has resulted in the club’s decision that he should feature more for Real Madrid Castilla this season so that he can get more minutes and develop properly this season.
Vinicius is a talented and promising youngster and it’s obvious that his place on the bench won’t be good for his development.
The player also appears too talented and matured for the Segunda Division B. Therefore, the best alternative might be to send him out on loan to another La Liga outfit.
