Zinedine Zidane: Reinier is the future
- Updated: January 22, 2020

Zinedine Zidane expressed his opinion about Real Madrid’s next Copa del Rey fixture against Unionists on Wednesday.
“We’re going with maximum focus. We know it’s an important competition like any other and we’re ready to play tomorrow. We play in the Copa del Rey and we’re going to give it our all. The importance is paramount”.
“All the players started playing, and I was the first one, with bad pitches or with a lot of difficulties. Mentally and sportingly we are ready for anything and we know where we’re going to play.
It isnt new for us. We’re here to do what we have to do and we must always be ready. We know the situation and the opponent and our duty is to be ready because the importance is top”.
“My experience was in France and there they play only one game. Now it’s the same here in Spain and we accept what’s coming to us”
About his new signing and Gareth Bale:
“They both trained normally and are ready to travel and play”.
“Reinier is a Real Madrid player and he is the future. He hasn’t been here with us yet and we have to take it step by step.
The idea is that he is a player for the future and when he arrives we’ll see what we’ll do, but at the beginning he’ll be with Castilla. He is a technically very good player, which is his main quality”.
“I don’t think so, but it could happen. Until February, anything can happen, both in terms of departures and arrivals”.
