Real Madrid Castilla impressing thus far

The Real Madrid senior team appear to be faltering recently but same can’t be said for Real Madrid Castilla who have impressed in the Segunda Division B group 1 with the performances they’ve put up.

The current manager of the side Santiago Solari appears to be putting the pegs in the right holes as his side has been blazing hot in the opening stages of the season.

The Castilla side are yet to record a loss this season after playing 6 games. They’ve won 4 games and have just 2 draws.

In the same vein, they’ve scored a whopping 12 goals thus far, the highest tally in group 1, and second only to Athletic Bilbao B in group 2 with 13 goals. They’ve let in just 4 goals in the process.

The side have also been spoilt for choice with regards to goalscorers as 7 players have contributed the 12 goals that have been scored thus far. New import and Brazilian Vinicius Junior has been at the forefront and is apparently miles above his peers in the Segunda B.

Vinicius, who recently made his debut for the senior side has scored 3 goals for Solari’s men, with his brace in September inclusive. It’s obvious he won’t stay long with Real Madrid Castilla side.

Real Madrid Castilla have been on a three-game winning run after Vinicius’ impressive performance against Unionistas with 8 goals scored and just 2 conceded.

Others who have found the net, and have 2 goals to their names thus far are Cristo, Seoane, and Feuillassier Dani Gomez. The scoring form of the players has definitely made the job easier for Solari who’ll be providing feedback to Lopetegui.

It can be recalled that Sergio Reguillon made his debut for the senior side as he deputized for the injured Marcelo in the UCL game against CSKA Moscow and was impressive on the night.

Real Madrid Castilla appear to be doing well thus far under Solari. Hopefully, they keep up the pace and produce more standout performers, who can also get the nod for a place in the senior team for some games as Vinicius and Sergio Reguillon have done.

They now face Real Valladolid II in their next game on Sunday and will try to make it 4 from 4. Hopefully, it turns out so.
