Real Madrid will face Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Champions League.


Real Madrid and Manchester City are set to meet once again in the semi-finals of the Champions League, in what is sure to be an exciting encounter between two of Europe’s top football clubs. The two sides have a storied history in the competition, having faced each other on eight previous occasions, with Real Madrid winning three, drawing two, and losing three.

Real Madrid advanced to the semi-finals after a resounding 4-0 aggregate victory over Chelsea in the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, Manchester City secured their place in the last four by defeating Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain in the previous rounds.

Manchester City will be looking to reach their first-ever Champions League final, having fallen short in the competition in recent years. Pep Guardiola’s side have been in fine form this season, and will be buoyed by their recent 3-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of their round of 16 tie in the 2019/20 season, which they eventually won 4-2 on aggregate.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, are no strangers to the Champions League, having won the competition a record 13 times. They will be hoping to add to their illustrious trophy cabinet by lifting the trophy once again this season. Los Blancos are a resilient side, and will be determined to avenge their previous defeat to Manchester City.

The first leg of the Real Madrid vs Manchester City semi-final is scheduled to take place at the Santiago Bernabéu on May 9th, with the return leg to be played away on May 17th. With both sides possessing an array of talent and experience, this semi-final is sure to be a closely contested affair.
